Rust Covered Dew

His hands were gnarled,
hard pitted, with splinters.
Remnants of long days,
of toil.

Smelter and hot metal,
thread deep
within his skin.

She happy in her lost youth,

joyous in loves past dream.
Hair flowing carefree,

and a smile that

like the brightest sun,
delights everyone.

Then like rust covered dew,

that fateful day.
Bleary eyed,

sleep deprived.
Metal folds like giant waves,
rolled into the stream.
Where she now laid,
that dreadful day.

He fell asleep,

some people said.
No witness saw

the blood she shed.
No longer smiles,
but tears we saw.
For neither now go
on no more.

Pain Wall

Pain Wall (Title)

She’s a fighter
You can see it in
her eyes.
Those that once sparkled

like diamonds.
Now, bloodshot and
wet from tears.

Gathering her precious
possessions like children
around her.
Boxes build into walls.
These her memories
of happy days.
Waiting just waiting.

Today they’re coming.
She waiting behind her barricade.
But they’ll fiercely

be beating down
at her wall.
Uncaring, not loving.

Money, their only joy.
Not interested in dreams or memories.

And screaming, she
holds on to her
Each strand of energy

trying to hold back
the tide.
While each angry

pummel, wading in
against her skin.

It’s all over now.
Not long their in
like vultures, ripping
in towards the bone.

She now stands, alone.
Left lost and without
a home.
Emotions etched into her being.

Pain, the wall she
hides within.

Reflections of You

Reflections of you (Title)

You pass me by
On the street
A complete stranger

But you look
Like someone I
Thought I knew
A vision of someone
Who could be you?

Eyes mockingly
Looking hopeful
Waiting to elicit
Your point of view
Shifting innocent
Reminders of you.

Chasing not knowing
If the picture
Is true
A moment’s reflection
Of a girl I once knew.

Broken (Title)

I cannot sleep.
For no more, can I rest.
Half broken, and crushed
by stress.
External forces conspire
hour by hour.
To drive us ever further,
into some unending way.
Sleep deprived each passing day.
Longing to be more
alive and living.
No longer filled with
regret and misgivings.

A Happy Hello to All!

Good Morning, Friends, Followers and Visitors to my blog!

It’s great to see you here today, and I will be hoping on here every day now.

Life has been busy and time has seemed to disappear like a whispering wind.

But I’m back now and moving back into to the flow of my writing and creativity.

What news?

I am writing a weekly news column in a local paper, plus articles and photographs – which is quiet fab.

I am now also picking up my art again, and working on some of my own greeting card designs.

The web page will be up and online by the end of this month, and I will be starting to look for some commissions.

Along side this I am now a Parish Councillor for the village where I live, Tree Warden, Keeper of the Flag, Area Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator, Village News Correspondent – so having a very busy but fun life.

I have also been learning more about energy work, and practising my meditation practice.

I’m always here though for you lovely people to help, be a sounding post or receive your comments.

Please leave me a comment or note, now and again so I now that you are real!

Sending you all Joy, Love, Peace and Happiness always your friend,

Deborah  xx :-)
