You pass me by

On the street

A complete stranger

But you look

Like someone I

Thought I knew

A vision of someone

Who could be you?

Eyes mockingly

Looking hopeful

Waiting to elicit

Your point of view

Shifting innocent

Reminders of you.

Chasing not knowing

If the picture

Is true

A moment’s reflection

Of a girl I once knew.
