Angel of Grace

Angel of Grace.
( In honour of Nelson Mandela - Lion of Africa)

From the bosom of Africa, you shone like a blazing light.
Madiba:The first Son of Africa.
You gave us all a voice.

God had sent you to us, his people to craft out his major plan.
On that fateful night, when bloodshed ran.
God sent a host of angels, to instigate freedoms plan.
To raise your voice in the hearts of man.

To erase all segregation from the darkest depths of night.
You where strong, brave, wise and bold.
Even behind walls of steel, for over twenty seven years.
Your voice could not be caged,
Your treatment caused outrage.
For our freedom, you where enslaved.

Your story did not die, for freedom cannot lie.
And throughout your life, you held freedom like a knife.
Cutting through hearts of darkness, bringing light in to each day.
Never letting hopes assay,
Until God has called you home, as a beacon to the night.
Raising freedoms banner, emblazoning in our hearts forever.

For God sent you Madiba, Angel of grace.
To bring freedom, peace and his grace: to this time and space.
And now we morn you this tear drenched day.
As you Madiba, Angel of Grace.
Bring freedoms voice, to the hearts of man.
Your duty is done, but we your people will carry on!

For the freedom of each and everyone.
The seeds that you planted through out your life, are watered with the tears of many.
And we your people will carry on and fan the flame of freedom that was begun.
We will fight to raise your dream, and like a Phoenix your dream will rise!
And this world will be one!
