Sunshine and Smiles of Love!

I know it has been far too long, since my last journey here to the place I love.

Well, lot's has been happening in my World.

I promise I will be here on a frequent basis, to brighten and warm the cockles of your hearts.

So here goes...

I have been busy writing new poetry, the Biography is about to be delivered to the editor next week, plus I have been writing lots of articles and advertorials.

Exciting news: My War Poetry collection will be published in October 2016, the main Poetry Collection is due for Publication early next year with a publisher, the Young Adult novel is also due for publication next year early 2017, and the Biography is due for publication in November 2016. Phew!

During the summer, I have been busy having fun with my daughter, while my lovely husband has been busy filming the 'Shooting' and 'BMX' at the Olympic Games, and 'Swimming' at the Paralympics in RIO.

We are all just getting back to normal now, and making decisions on a Secondary School, for my daughters big leap next year.

I hope that you have all been keeping well, and have not given up on me just yet.

Watch this space as new poetry, is due to land here anytime soon...

Sending you all the warmest and happiest smiles, filled with love joy and hope!

Happiness, sunshine smiles, and rainbows!

In Fields Where We Lay

Today we remember all those soldiers, who gave their lives at the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
We will remember each one with love, honour and respect.
I am grateful for your bravery, such love for your fellow man.

Remember me, for I am but a star shining on the path before you.

The poem below is my tribute; to all those who fell at the Battle of the Somme and World War 1.

In fields where we lay

Through battle lines,
a revelry of bullets
peppered the air.
Shouts, of anguish in the night.
Voices fearful, filled with fright.
Each of us knowing that
this could be our last.
As a bullet ripped from the
carcase of a gun.
Enters our bodies one by one.
Lights fade out, until
we are gone.
But still our memories
linger on.
For in a field
standing proud, poppies
tall and bold.
As blood red, reminders
of the lives that were shed.
Each lovingly remembering
as each, nods its head.

A big Happy Hello!

I hope all is well with you, as we romp into February the month of love and stuff.

Look out over the next week for some loved up poems, and some new work just breaking through.

I'm also trying to figure out how to add pictures, so watch this space.

I'd also love to hear your comments too, as it really helps me on my writing journey.

I look forward to popping up very, very soon.

Until then I wish you all happiness, wrapped in love and smiles.
